Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-195 (10), Madison County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The project involves the replacement of the bridge over Gunnell's Branch on Hall -Goss Road (Co. Rd. 326). The project will begin approximately 600 feet west of the existing bridge and will terminate approximately 600 feet east of that bridge. A 100 foot corridor was surveyed for the project.
