Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed Sugarloaf Parkway at I-85 from October 21 through October 26, 1992 and March 17 and 18, 1993. The project area consists of approximately one and three quarters mile of new alignment beginning at the intersection of Pruett Road and the new Satellite Boulevard extension on the west side of I-85, crossing I-85 and Wildwood Road (also known as N. Brown Road) and curving southeast to intersect with SR 120 east of Atkinson Road. A pedestrian survey designed to identify archeological sites was conducted. No sites were discovered by the survey and no further archeological study is recommended.
