Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project IR-20-2 (121), DeKalb County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

The proposed project would improve ramp super elevation at I-20 westbound 1oop ramp to I-20 eastbound ramp and the I-285 southbound ramp to I-20 eastbound ramp. Also an additional eastbound auxiliary lane on I-20 from I-285 to exit at Wesley Chapel Road will be constructed. Approximately fifteen additional feet of right-of-way will be required. The entire length of the project corridor was surveyed.
