Report Number
1164
Year of Publication
1989
Abstract

The 10 ha (25 ac) tract of land for the proposed Flint EMC service facility is located on a broad, flat ridge top in Houston County, Georgia. The property has been cultivated for at least 90 years but at the time of the survey, 8 August, 1989, was fallow with fair visibility of the ground surface. No artifacts or cultural materials were found during the surface inspection and subsurface testing of this tract. It is the opinion of the principal investigator that no cultural resources will be impacted by the proposed facility and that, in regard to cultural resources, the project be given clearance to proceed.
