Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRF- 180-1(3), Catoosa Co., has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This is the proposed replacement of the bridge over Little Chickamauga Creek on S.R. 151. Construction will be west of the existing road and bridge where additional right -of-way will be required. A corridor 1500 feet long and 40 feet wide was examined both north and south of the present facility.
