Abstract

Archeological Assessment of a Walker County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project is 4.727 miles in length and consists of the resurfacing, milling, and grading on SR 151 starting from M.P. 10.12 at SR 136 in Walker County and ending at M.P. 14.83 at the Catoosa County Line. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way. No new right-of-way will be required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800. 16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
