The proposed project would improve the existing railroad grade crossing at the intersection of Jaybird-Helena Road/CR 227 over the Norfolk Southern Railway near the City of Chauncey, Georgia in Dodge County. The project would include the installation of train activated warning devices in the form of gates, flashing lights, bells, standard roadway signs and safety markings on existing pavement. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way; no new right-of-way or easements will be required.
