Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project RS-0953(11), Effingham, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This project is the proposed widening and paving of County Roads 245 and 130 from the Co. Rd. 245/Co. Rd. 307 intersection to a point north of Dasher Creek on Co. Rd. 130. This is a distance of approximately 8,400 feet. The proposed right -of-way of 100 feet will be distributed equally (35 feet) on either side of the existing 30 foot R/W.
