Abstract

This project proposes to resurface three separate roads in three separate counties. P.I. M003451 is located in Tattnall County and consists of the milling, resurfacing, and earth shoulder reconstruction of SR 144 beginning at SR 23 and ending at Alan Dasher Drive, a distance of2.66 miles. P.I. M003452 is located in Bacon County and consists of the milling, leveling, resurfacing, and earth shoulder reconstruction of SR 203 beginning at the Pierce County Line and ending at the Appling County Line, a distance of 12.76 miles. P.I. M003453 is located in Jeff Davis County and consists of the milling, leveling, resurfacing, and earth shoulder reconstruction of SR 27 beginning at SR 19 and ending at M.P. 8.904, a distance of 2.03 miles. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
