Abstract

Project IM-75-2(208), Bibb/Monroe County: Determination of No Undertaking for History and Archaeology. The subject project would consist in the concrete rehabilitation of I-75 in Bibb County and Monroe County. The project would include the removal and replacement of concrete roadway slabs and the resealing of roadway joints. The project would also include the removal and replacement of approach slabs at bridges and the resealing of bridge joints. The project would begin at I-16 (MP 165) in Bibb County and extend north to I-475 (MP 175) in Monroe County. The total length of the project is 12.63 miles. No acquisition of additional right-of-way or construction easements would be required to implement the project.

According to 36 CFR 800.2(o), an "undertaking" consists of "any project, activity, or program that can result in changes in the character or use of historic properties, if any such properties are located within the proposed project's area of potential effects. This project does not have the potential to result in changes to the character or use of any historic properties, therefore, the subject project does not constitute an undertaking. This finding fulfills the Department's requirements under Section 106.
