In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project IR-20-2 (110) has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The project proposes: to widen the off-ramps and improve Old Salem Road to provide access to the frontage road and to improve the Old Covington Highway (SR 12) as an access road to SR 138. The proposed project corridors were surveyed.
