Projects FR-023-1(8), (9) in Atkinson and Coffee counties represents the proposed widening of U.S. 441/S.R. 31 from the intersection of U.S. 441 and U.S. 82 in Pearson to C.R. 588 approximately five miles south of Douglas. The existing two-lane facility would be widened to four-lanes.

This is the proposed improvements to the intersection of North Jefferson Street and Dunlap Road (thru-lane and turn lanes). No significant archaeological resources were located within the proposed project corridor as described in paragraph two above.

These projects propose to widen U.S. 319/S.R. 90, from C.R. 195 in Irwin County to C.R. 242 in Ben Hill County. Related to the widening project is the widening of the bridges over the Willacoochee River and Turkey Creek. A corridor 200 feet wide was surveyed for 5 miles.

No existing or eligible National Register resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.

The Department of Natural Resources' Fulton County survey for potential historic resources was consulted in preliminary identification of potentially historic resources.

"This transportation project has been surveyed for historic resources in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto.

This project proposes to widen 1-20 from S.R. 138 to a point just east of S.R. 81. All widening will take place within the median.

The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This project proposes to relocate S.R. 88 on new alignment from M.P. 16.25 on S.R. 88 to S.R. 4/U.S. 1 at C.R. 129.
