The project is the proposed widening of S.R. 280 beginning just to the southeast of S.R. 49 intersection and proceeding northeast to just past the S.R. 3/U.S. 19 intersection. The entire 130-foot project corridor was surveyed.

As proposed, these projects consist of widening and reconstruction of U.S. 319 (S.R. 35) from the existing four-lane section near WMGA Radio Station in Moultrie to the intersection of U.S. 82 {S.R. 50) in Tifton (see attached location map).

The proposed project would extend Williams Road in north Columbus. Beginning at Fortson Road intersection the project would proceed easterly on new location to a point approximately 1,100 feet east of the Southern Railway.

This transportation project has been surveyed for historic resources in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto. The survey boundary and methodology were established using GDOT/FHWA Cultural Resource Survey Guidelines.
