This project is an investigation of waste site Project# TSAP-19 (29) located in Bibb County. The Department recently received a request from a private landowner to clear a portion of his property for use as a waste pit for construction debris. During the site investigation we discovered a container which was labeled radioactive and several underground concrete tanks. The container and the tanks are located adjacent to the proposed waste pit area. The location of the property and photographs showing the container and tanks are included in the attached information for your use. No indicators of wetland areas, cultural resources or protected species were identified during the field investigation. Materials to be placed in this waste site are, rock, trees and stumps and earthwork.
