Abstract

This is a bridge project, BRS-2943(3), located in Ben Hill County. The bridge is on SR 107/ US 319 and crosses Sturgeon Creek. The existing bridge is a 61.0-meter-long by 7.3-meter-wide bridge structure with timber pilings, timber caps, steel stringers, concrete deck, and concrete handrails. The existing ROW is 30.5 meters. The bridge over Sturgeon Creek is proposed to be replaced with a 61-meter-long by 12.2-meter-wide concrete bridge structure on its existing alignment. An on-site runaround on the left side if the existing bridge would be provided to handle traffic during construction. A 304.8 meter by 15.2-meter temporary construction easement on the left side would be required for constriction. The on-site runaround will be removed in its entirety and regressed following construction of the new bridge.
