Abstract

This is a bridge project, BRF-034-2(26), located in Irwin County. The bridge is on US 129/ SR 11 and crosses Reedy Creek and Stump Creek. The existing bridges are 180 feet long by 24 feet wide and 100 feet long by 24 feet wide. Each have timber pilings, timber caps, steel stringers, and concrete decks. The existing ROW is 200 feet at Reedy Creek and 100 feet at Stump Creek. The bridge over Reedy Creek is proposed to be replaced with a 180 feet long by 40 feet wide concrete bridge structure and the bridge over Stump Creek is proposed to be replaced with a triple 9 foot by 8 foot by 53 foot concrete bridge culvert. The bridges will be replaced on the existing alignment. An on-site runaround on the right side will be provided at each location to handle traffic during construction. An 800 feet long by 50 feet wide construction easement will be required at Stump Creek.
