The project proposes to replace the bridge# 113-5024-0 on Country Road (CR) 287/Ebenezer Church Road over Whitewater Creek in Fayette County located 4 miles southwest of Fayetteville. The total length of the project is approximately 670 feet (.02 mile), beginning 250 feet west of the existing bridge and ending 250 feet east of the existing bridge. The proposed bridge would be built in the same location as the existing bridge. The existing bridge is 160 feet long by 30.4 feet wide. The proposed bridge would be approximately 176 feet long by 43.25 feet wide over Whitewater Creek and would be constructed on the existing alignment. Traffic currently utilizing CR 287 as a through route would have to utilize an off-site detour.
