Abstract

GDOT Project Pl No. 0013814 would replace the two bridges carrying State Route (SR) 128 over Patsiliga Creek and its overflow in Taylor County, Georgia. Bridge 269-0018-0 was constructed in 1937 over the Patsiliga Creek overflow, and has a sufficiency rating of 55.0. It is located approximately 0.5 miles north of the city of Reynolds. The bridge is a concrete Tee Beam structure with four main spans. The existing typical section consists of one 12-foot travel lane ln each direction and 6-foot outside shoulders. Bridge 269-0019-0 was constructed in 1937 over Patsiliga Creek, and has a sufficiency rating of 66.3. It is located approximately 0.7 miles north of the city of Reynolds. The bridge is a concrete Tee Beam structure with six main spans. The existing typical section consists of one 12-foot travel lane in each direction and 6-foot outside shoulders. The project is in a preliminary concept phase and the proposed typical section has not yet been determined. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 50 feet in both directions from the existing road centerline, and the proposed ROW would be determined as project plans develop. An on-site detour will be provided; however, the detour side of the existing ROW has yet to be determined.
