Abstract

A Phase I cultural resources survey was conducted for a proposed 68-acre (27.5-hectare) development site in Forsyth County, Georgia, to locate and identify cultural resources within the project area, and to assess the significance of each resource. The proposed project consists of an irregularly-shaped property on the northeast side of the intersection of Highway 20 and Friendship Circle, northwest of Cumming, Georgia. No archeological sites or isolated finds were recorded during the survey. Five historic resources were found within the project area and Area of Potential Effects during the survey. Recorded historic resources date from circa 1880 to the middle to late 20th century.
