Abstract

The proposed project would construct a connector on the new location between the intersection of State Route (SR) 36/South Mulberry Street at Brownlee Road and East College Street at East College Drive in the city of Jackson, Georgia (see Figure 1). The proposed project would include the reconstruction of the intersection of Sr 36/ South Mulberry Street to East College Street. The propose work would also realign side roads as necessary to tie into the new intersections. The proposed project length would be approximately .5 mile and may consist of the construction of roundabouts at each intersection. The proposed typical section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 8-foot rural shoulders (6.5-foot paved, 1.5-foot graded) and side ditches. Culverts and drainage structures would be replaced or extended as needed. Exact amounts of required right-of-way (ROW) are unknown at this time.
