Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Old Tails Creek Road widening and paving on January 24 and 25, 1995. The project corridor is approximately 2.04 miles in length and contains a 100 foot right-of-way. The corridor begins at the intersection of Georgia 282/US 76 and Old Tails Creek Road and continues south on Old Tails Creek for the entire project length. A pedestrian survey designed to identify archaeological sites was conducted. No sites were discovered by the survey and no further archaeological study is recommended.
