Abstract

The fifth addendum Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project to build a grade separated interchange of State Route (SR) 316/United States Highway (US) 29 at SR 11 in Barrow County, Georgia (GDOT Project No. CSNHS-0008-00 [ 430], Pl No. 0008430, HP No. 070611-002) was conducted by Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI). The survey was carried out on January 2, 3, and 9, 2019 under a contract with ARC ADlS, U.S., Inc. The work was conducted in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966 and was carried out in order to identify archaeological sites potentially affected by the proposed undertaking and to evaluate their eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). This report describes the results of EPEr's fifth addendum archaeological survey.
