This project is one of several projects on SR 40 - Okefenokee Parkway between Folkston (Charlton County) and Kingsland (Camden County). This project begins at Mile Post 5.21 in Charlton County and extends to Mile Post 10.12 (CR 66) Colerain Road in Camden County. The beginning of this project will tie into the project STP-141-1 (10) PI Number 522350 Charlton County, which is currently in operation. The existing section is a rural two-lane section. The proposed project consists of the construction of two additional travel lanes with a 32-foot wide and transition to 44-foot depressed median. The total length of this project is approximately 11.71 miles. The existing ROW is variable; a typical section is 115 feet wide. The required ROW would vary from 185 feet to 200 feet maximum.
