The purpose of this project is to survey the 8.749 acre surplus Right of Way (ROW) parcel PM#3429 owned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) for cultural resources prior to the transfer to a new property owner. The parcel is located within the Chattahoochee National Forest along the north side of State Route (SR) 515 across from Lee Industrial Drive, in Union County, Georgia (Figure 1). The property was originally purchased with state funds in 1983 for the construction of Project Number APD-056-2(8).
