The proposed projects would consist of pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Watkins A venue and New Peachtree Road and at the intersection of Malone Drive and Peachtree Road (see attached location map). GDOT Project STP-0002-00(854) would construct two pedestrian crossings at the unsignalized intersection of New Peachtree Road and Watkins A venue in Chamblee. The crossing across New Peachtree Road would include a median refuge, textured pavement and in-pavement warning lights. A painted Crosswalk would be provided across Watkins Avenue, and curb cut ramps would be updated as necessary. All construction activities would take place within the existing right-of-way.
