An archaeological survey will be conducted on the entire area of the landfill site for the purpose of locating and evaluating archaeological resources. The survey will include a thorough surface inspection (and sub-surface testing where necessary) to determine the type and extent of archaeological resources. Surface collecting, mapping, and photography will be used to record all findings. Following the survey, maps will be constructed showing the extent and relative density of archaeological resources, and a written report will be prepared describing the archaeological remains, evaluating their significance, and suggesting proper steps for mitigating adverse impact.
