Abstract

ln comp1iance with Section ยท106 of the Nationa1 Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-137(10), Habersham County has been surveyed with respect to archaeo1ogica resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. Project BRZLB-137(10) proposes the construction of a bridge culvert and approaches on Habersham County Road 250 over Right Fork Soquee River. The project is in a corridor 100 feet wide by 1300 feet long. There is an acquisition of new right-of-way on the west side of the existing right-of-way for the construction of the approaches.
