Location - Tallapoosa River crossing county Road 141 approximately 2.5 miles east of Tallapoosa, Georgia.
Purpose - Bridge replacement and roadway alignment improvement. Activity - Construct approaches on new alignment to a 218' x 36' concrete bridge placing approximately 8300 cubic yards of embankment material below the 100-year elevation covering 1.0 acre. The embankment material will be obtained from highland sources. Erosion control will be grassing, straw mulch stabilization and baled straw for shoulders and slopes with stone rip rap on bridge end rolls. An existing 100' x 12' steel and timber bridge on old alignment will be removed.
