Abstract

Pursuant to our proposal of April 13, 1977, the Earth Sy stems Division of SSI is pleased to submit this final report for the Claxton, Georgia project. The report includes a brief account of project objectives, an evaluation of the study area environmental conditions, results of the geotechnical site investigation and laboratory testing and development of land application design criteria.

In summary, two irrigable areas were delineated. The main area is irrigable without drainage improvement at a rate of 2.3 inches per week. The second area is irrigable with intensive drainage improvement at the full rate or irrigable at 0.5 inches per week with minimal drainage improvement. The direction of ground water flow from the land application site is towards the Canoochee River. There are no wells in existance between the irrigable area and the Canoochee River.
