This project consists of road widening of Hwy. 85 between 1185 and the end of Gentian Road in Columbus. Several areas were spot checked and examined along this r/w. This showed that Lindsey creek, which flow through the area, had been channelized. Most of the R/W had been previously graded and old roads, railroads, house sites, and construction projects had disturbed most of the rest. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted and it is highly unlikely that nay will be disturbed.
