Abstract

Project Pl Number (No.) 0006900 consists of the realignment of SR 92 from approximately 787 feet (ft) (250 meters [m)) north of the intersection of SR 92 and Malone Road to approximately 1236 ft (380 m) east of the intersection of SR 92 and the 1-20 interchange. Additional road improvements will be constructed along SR 78 and various side roads that intersect with the proposed SR 92 alignment. The project totals approximately 155.59 acres (ac) in size. Project Pl No. 0006900 is currently under construction. In addition to Pl No. 0006900, Pl Nos 0006901 and 0007691 have been used in relation to this project. Portions of the project detailed above were previously surveyed for archaeological resources by R.S. Webb and Associates in 2004 under GDOT Pl No. 720970 (Gantt 2004). Construction on the project began in April of 2014, and is almost complete. Recently, an additional design change has occurred in order to facilitate for the replacement of a 42" drainage pipe that failed. This addendum archaeological survey has been conducted in relation to this design change.
