Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the bridge carrying County Route (CR) 11/Lower Pateville Road over Swift Creek Tributary in Crisp County, Georgia (Figure 1). The existing bridge was constructed in 1932 with concrete decking and steel beams. The existing typical section for CR 11/ Lower Pateville Road consists of two 7-foot (ft) (2.13 meters [m]) dirt travel lanes with approximately 5-foot (ft) (1.52 meters [m]) wide, grassed, rural shoulders. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is approximately 25 feet (ft) (7.62 meters [m]), and the proposed ROW will be determined as project plans develop.
