During March-May 2022, North Wind Resource Consulting, LLC (North Wind) conducted an Archaeological Phase I Survey in Oglethorpe and Jasper Counties. The field investigation consisted of the excavation of Shovel Test Pits at 30-meter intervals following both a grid and landform methodology. The Phase I survey resulted in the identification of 60 newly identified archaeological sites and 31 newly identified Isolated Finds, and 14 previously recorded sites were revisited.
