Abstract

A cultural resources survey of the proposed Tiger Creek Power Facility construction areas in Washington County, Georgia, was conducted by New South Associates August 9 and 10, 2001. The survey areas (25 total acres) included the power plant footprint and the plant access road. One isolated prehistoric tool was recovered from shovel testing along the proposed plant access road. This find does not meet the official standard for archaeological site designation. No other archaeological remains were identified during the survey. Since no archaeological sites were located during this survey no further archaeological work is recommended.
