An archeological survey was conducted for the purpose of assessing the impact of the proposed construction of a water storage tank. The construction will be undertaken through a grant from the Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce. Existing Federal and State regulations require that cultural resources be considered and provided against adverse impact in those construction projects funded or permitted by the Federal government. This survey was performed to ascertain the presence or absence of archeological and/or historical resources, assess any adverse impacts that might result from construction at both primary and secondary levels, and make valid recommendations to mitigate ·such impacts.
