Abstract

The Archaeological Services Unit conducted intensive archaeological surveys at two proposed trail locations at Cloudland Canyon State Park, in Dade County (Figure I). The first area surveyed was a section of the Lula Lake Trail (Figure 2), and completed the survey of the Phase I construction segment that was begun last year (Figure 3). The survey of the corridor between the trailhead within the park and the point where the trail crosses Ascalon road is now completed. The length of this section is approximately 6.5 km. Additional surveys will need to be scheduled as additional sections become available.
