The survey described here was designed to locate and evaluate archeological sites in the area of a Fulton County bridge replacement project proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation. The survey located one archeological site within the project corridor, site 9FU417, believed to date to the Middle Woodland period. Conservatively, project designers chose to redesign their plans and avoid any adverse effects to this archeological site. We therefore recommend the project will have no adverse effect upon significant archeological resources.
