Abstract

The survey described here was designed to locate and evaluate archeological sites in the area of a bridge replacement project proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation in Seminole County, the southwestern corner of Georgia. The survey located one archeological site that is partially within the project area of potential effect (APE). This site, officially recorded as site 9SE 134, is a low density scatter of historic debris with little or no value for archeological research. Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. therefore recommends that it is ineligible to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and that its disturbance within the APE would not constitute an adverse effect to significant archeological resources.
