Abstract

A Cultural Resource Survey was conducted along the proposed John's Creek Road (FS 294) in the John's Creek valley in northeastern-most Floyd County near Lake Marvin and the Pocket area. This road is in Compartment 926 of the Armuchee Ranger District, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. The field survey was conducted on Friday, January 25, 1980, by the author assisted by Forest Service engineering technician Calvin George. The roadway had been flagged and surveyed by George some weeks before. Figures 1 and 2 locate the survey area.
