Abstract

This report describes a cultural resources survey conducted along the present and proposed right-of-way of the Stamp Creek Road (FS 25), in southwestern Rabun County, Georgia. The roadway lies in Compartments 79, 81, and 82 of the Tallulah Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest, and is represented on the Tiger Quadrangle (USGS 7.5 min., 1972). The roadway leaves the Worley Creek Road east of Camp Dixie. The majority of the 3.9 miles surveyed were along an existing Forest Service Road, with ca.0.5 mile being newly proposed routing. The field survey was conducted on April 3, 1980, by the author, accompanied by Surveying Aide Ronald Dryman.
