Abstract

This report is an addendum to work previously conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc., on the proposed Eisenhower Parkway Extension. Specifically, this report is a supplement to the Cultural Resources Overview of the Proposed Eisenhower Parkway Extension, Bibb, Houston, Jones and Twiggs Counties, Georgia (Butler et al. 2001) and the Archaeological Survey and Evaluation of Proposed Links for the Eisenhower Parkway Extension, Bibb County, Georgia (Reid and Brockington 2000). This archaeological resources investigation sought to identify all archaeological sites present along Alternative F of the proposed Eisenhower Parkway Extension. The location of Alternative F is shown in Figure 1. Two to three transects were conducted along the corridor depending on the width of the proposed corridor. Shovel tests were conducted whenever possible. This provided a survey coverage of a corridor approximately 60 meters (197 ft) to 90 meters (295 ft) wide, as appropriate to the Area of Potential Effect.
