Abstract

The proposed project consists of approximately 5900 feet (1.12 miles) of streetscape and pedestrian improvements on West Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta between North Avenue and 14th Street. The project is located within the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia and involves streets maintained by the City of Atlanta. The proposed plans for West Peachtree Street involve pedestrian and transportation improvements to the right-of-way as dictated by Special Public Interest Zone 16, recently approved by the Atlanta City Council. Within the right-of-way, transportation and pedestrian improvements include the addition of on-street parking, development of a continuous, dedicated bicycle lane and streetscape improvements including new sidewalks, street trees, street furniture, and enhanced street and sidewalk lighting.
