The survey reported here was designed to locate archeological sites in the area of potential effect of a bridge replacement project proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) at the crossing of SR 126 over Little Creek in Wheeler County. The survey located no archeological sites, and only one isolated occurrence of cultural material-a single chert flake deemed insignificant for archeological research. Therefore Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. recommends that the proposed bridge replacement project will not have any adverse effect upon significant archeological resources.
