Abstract

An archaeological, botanical and wildlife survey was conducted for the Americus, Georgia 201 Facilities. Survey methods included pedestrian reconnaissance and shallow subsurface testing to locate any cultural resources that might be affected by project construction, and an on-ground survey to locate protected species of wildlife and plants, unusual ecological communities and specimen size trees. No cultural resources, protected species, unusual ecological communities, or specimen size trees were located during this study. Archaeological and botanical and wildlife clearance was therefore recommended for the proposed construction.
