Abstract

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Wildlife Resources Division (WRD), Game Management Section, Coastal Region (VII), is planning to construct a new maintenance shop on the Altamaha Wildlife/Waterfowl Management Area (AWMA) on Butler Island, McIntosh County, Georgia. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Historic Preservation Division, Archaeological Services Unit conducted an archaeological reconnaissance in the area proposed for new construction.
