Abstract

The proposed project would replace the structurally deficient bridge with a new bridge on existing alignment. The new bridge would be approximately 44 ft wide and 180 ft long, and accommodate two 12-ft travel lanes and two 10-ft paved shoulders. The proposed roadway approaches would consist of two 12-ft travel lanes with 10-ft shoulders (2 ft paved, 8 ft unpaved). Traffic would be diverted to an off-site detour during construction. The detour route would use SR 11, SR 81, SR 8, and US 29/SR 316. The proposed right-of-way would vary between 100 to 145 ft. A total of approximately 0.69 acre of additional right-of-way would be required for the proposed project. Total length of project is 1,075 ft. No changes have been made to the west side of the project area since the original survey. A 10 ft by 630 ft easement has been added to the east side of the project area south of the creek. North of the creek, a 20 ft by 250 ft area has been added along the east side of the project corridor.
