Abstract

The project is an interchange improvement project at Panola Road and Interstate 20. The improvements extend along 1-20 approximately 0.47 miles west of the interchange to 0.09 miles east of the interchange beginning at mile log 70.8 and ending at mile log 71.36. Improvements on Panola Road include adding a left turn land northbound on the bridge and extending the northbound right turn lane from Farington Road to the interchange. The addition of the left run lane on the bridge over 1-20 would be accomplished through restriping and by removing the sidewalk on the east side of the bridge and removing one foot of the sidewalk on the west side of the bridge. The 1-20 westbound off-ramp would be widened to include a 250-foot right turn lane. In addition, the 1-20 westbound on-ramp would be widened to allow the Panola Road northbound traffic to make the left turn movement onto the ramp without conflicting with the southbound traffic exiting (continued on separate sheet).
