Abstract

The proposed project would consist of a park and ride lot facility on a 5.71-acre site located in Henry County, Georgia (see attached location map). The facility would be located within existing GDOT right-of-way at the interchange of 1-75 and SR 138. The parcel is bordered by SR 138 to the east, Interstate 75 to the south, and the entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 75 to the north. The park and ride facility infrastructure would consist of approximately 375 new parking spaces, bus pavilions, and access to the site from various locations. Access to the site would be provided along the entrance ramp to northbound 1-75, where bus traffic and commuter vehicle traffic are separated. There would also be a right-in, right-out driveway on SR 138 that is shared by buses and commuter vehicles. The Principal Investigator: Patrick Smith does hereby certify that the Area of Potential Effect (as described on page 1 of this form) for GDOT Project MSL-0003-00(541)has been thoroughly surveyed for archaeological resources and that no such resources were located or identified.
