Abstract

Survey of the US 27 widening project in Muscogee County Georgia on January 20th, 2004. The area of potential effect is a 1.5mile (2.41 kilometer) corridor along US 27 with a required right-of-way of 200 feet (60.96 meters). The study corridor started at the intersection of US 27 and Tower Road and traveled northeast. The survey located one archaeological site (9ME 1307) at the southwestern corner of the intersection of US 27 and Galena Road. The project is located on the Fortson Quadrangle.
