Abstract

A cultural resources reconnaissance was conducted of an area proposed for recreational development within the Soap Creek Marina Area Project in Lincoln County, Georgia. The development on Clark's Hill Lake will consist of constructing approximately 1.2 miles of gravel and dirt roads, No campsites and a well house. Campsites will include electrical and water hookups, a picnic table and a grill. Timber will be thinned to allow the development. No cultural resources were located as a result of the reconnaissance. The area has been heavily disturbed by agricultural terracing and sheet erosion. The proposed development should have no effect upon cultural resources.
